I made oatmeal pancakes this morning. They need some tweaking though. I'll be trying them out again this summer.
But, I also finished an amazing book: Son of Laughter by Frederick Buechner. It's a fictional story based on Jacob from the Bible. Fred, as I will call him from now on, has a beautiful way of exposing how truly full of sin we are, and a solid sense of the hope there is regardless of our failings.
It made me want to read every book he's written.
Fred seems like a wise guy. I like wise guys.
But, for now, I'm finishing The Fiddler's Gun by Andrew Peterson. I'm excited to see how it ends, or doesn't end.
